Split a group project into roles and tasks
Splits a group project into tasks with owners, sizes and dates, matched to each member's strengths and available time.
Task:
Split our group project into tasks with an owner, a size and a date, so the work is fair and the deadline is safe.
Context:
The project is [project description] and it is due on [due date]. The brief asks for [deliverables]. Our members are [member 1 with strengths and weekly hours], [member 2 with strengths and weekly hours] and [member 3 with strengths and weekly hours].
Rules:
- Give each task one owner and a reviewer, and keep the work in hours roughly equal across members.
- Put a checkpoint for the whole group one week before the due date.
- Mark tasks that block others and schedule them first.
- If the brief says how individual contributions are graded or reported, follow it. If it is unclear, list what to ask the instructor.
- Where my information is missing, mark your assumption in the table.
Result:
A table with the columns task, owner, reviewer, hours, due date and depends on, then the total hours per member in one line.
