Plan a batch image resize and rename workflow
Plans a repeatable workflow to resize, rename and export many images safely, keeping the originals untouched and checking the result.
Task:
Plan a repeatable workflow that resizes, renames and exports a batch of images without touching the originals.
Context:
I have about [number] images in [format] with sizes around [dimensions or file size]. They must end up at [target size, format and file size limit] for [website, email, print or social media]. I want names like [naming pattern]. I do this about [how often].
Rules:
- Give at most seven steps and say at which step the originals are copied, so that no step works on them.
- Include a check on five sample files before the full batch, and a final check of the count and the sizes.
- If a step uses a command line, script or settings change, explain what it does in plain words before I run it and warn me about anything that overwrites files.
- Do not claim what a specific image tool can do. Describe each step by the function needed and tell me to find it in my own tool.
Result:
A numbered workflow with the check after each step, followed by one line on what to save for next time.
