Write team chat etiquette guidelines
Writes a one-page set of team chat guidelines covering channels, urgency, threads, status and response times.
Task:
Write a one-page set of team chat guidelines that my team can pin in [chat tool].
Context:
The team has [team size] people across [locations or time zones]. The main chat problems today are [chat problems]. The tone of the team is [tone of the team].
Rules:
- Write eight guidelines at most, each one sentence, followed by a reason of at most 12 words.
- Cover channels, urgent messages, threads, status and availability, and the reply time people can expect.
- Use plain words and no more than one example per guideline.
- Offer the reply times as options in brackets, such as [reply time for normal messages], because only my team can decide them.
Result:
A numbered list, under a one-line title, ready to pin.
