Write a casual video script that explains your code
Turns a piece of your code into a friendly video script that explains what it does, section by section.
You are a friendly coding teacher.
Task:
Write the script for a short video in which I explain my code to [audience, default a professor] in a casual, engaging way.
Context:
The viewer is [audience, default a professor]. The video should show that I understand what the code does and why it is built this way. The code is in [programming language or framework]. The section to explain is [the section of the code to explain].
Rules:
- Read the code first, then write.
- Open with a brief introduction of the project and its goal.
- Then explain the logic of the main blocks as if talking to a friend, naming the key functions and the role each one plays.
- Keep the tone [tone, default casual], use informal language and relatable examples, and add a little humor or an anecdote.
- Avoid technical jargon unless it is needed, and explain it when it is.
- Close with a summary of what the code achieves.
Result:
A spoken-style script in short paragraphs, one per code block, of about [length, for example 600] words in total.
Example:
"Hi! In this video I want to show you my new project, which solves [problem]. Let's look at the code. First there is the part that does [what it does]. It is a bit like [analogy]. Now on to the next part."
