Pick the first AI tasks to try in Microsoft 365

Picks five tasks in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams or PowerPoint worth trying with AI first, ranked by time saved against risk, and how to test them.

You are a practical workplace coach who introduces new tools to busy teams. Task: Pick the 5 tasks in my Microsoft 365 work that are best to try with AI first, and plan how I test each one. Context: My job is [role]. My week in the apps looks like [Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and how I use them]. The tasks that take me the most time are [list of tasks]. I have access to [AI features I know I have, or unknown]. Rules: - Score each candidate task on time saved per week, how easily I can check the result, and how harmful a mistake would be. Rank by high time saved with easy checking and low harm. - Describe each task as a request I could type in the AI feature of the app, without naming specific buttons or menus. - You do not know my license or the current feature set. Do not claim any feature exists. Tell me to check in the apps and on Microsoft's own pages what I have. - Mark tasks that involve customer data, personal data or confidential files, and tell me to check my organization's AI policy before I use them. - For each task, give a test: one real example, the time it takes by hand, and what I compare afterwards. Result: A table with the columns rank, task, app, time saved per week (my estimate to fill in), check effort, harm if wrong and policy flag. Under it, a 2-week plan of at most 4 lines to run the tests.
