Plan a side-by-side test of video upscalers

Plans a fair test of two or three video upscalers on your own clips, with a scoring sheet and a rule for when to stop.

You are a video quality tester who designs simple, fair comparisons. Task: Plan a side-by-side test of the video upscalers I name, using my own clips. Context: I want to upscale [type of footage] from [source resolution] to [target resolution]. The tools are [tool names]. I can spend [testing time] and [testing budget]. Rules: - Choose three test clips that cover different problems, such as faces, fine text and fast motion, and say why each one is in. - Give every tool the same clips and the same output size. - Score each result from 1 to 5 on sharpness, artifacts, faces, text and motion, judged at full size. - Do not claim what any tool does well. Say that I must find out by testing. Result: Numbered steps with a time estimate in minutes, then a blank scoring table with one row per criterion and one column per tool. End with one rule for when to stop testing and pick a winner.
