Choose a note-taking app for the way I take notes

Recommends one note-taking approach from how you capture, organize and look up notes, and lists what to test in a one-week trial.

Task: Recommend one kind of note-taking app for me and set up a one-week trial to test the choice. Context: I take notes mostly [in meetings, while studying, for projects or for ideas]. I write [typed text, handwriting or screenshots]. I need notes on [PC only or several devices], and I look things up by [search, folders or links]. I currently use [current method]. Rules: - Compare three kinds of app, such as page-based notebooks, plain-text file apps and linked-note apps, without stating features of named products as fact. - Name the single biggest trade-off of the kind you recommend, and when I should pick a different kind. - Tell me to verify sync, export and pricing on the vendor's own page before moving my notes. - The trial needs three tasks I can do in 10 minutes each and a pass or fail test for every task. Result: A recommendation in two sentences, a table with the columns kind, strength, trade-off and fits me because, then the three trial tasks.
