Sort my menu bar icons into keep and hide
Sorts the menu bar icons you list into keep visible, move to a hidden area or remove, with one reason per icon and a verdict first.
Task:
Sort the menu bar icons in my list into keep visible, move to a hidden area, or remove.
Context:
My Mac has [built-in notch, or no notch], and I use [one screen or several]. I look at my menu bar [how often] and want it to show only what I act on.
Rules:
- Base each decision on how often I use the item and whether I need to see its status at a glance, using only what my list says.
- Where my list does not say what an icon does, ask me to identify it by hovering or clicking it instead of guessing.
- Suggest removing an app only if its icon is the only reason I have it, and tell me to check the app's own settings before quitting or uninstalling anything.
Result:
One sentence with the count of icons to keep, hide and remove. Then a table with the columns icon, decision and reason in at most 10 words.
Material:
[paste the list of your menu bar icons and what you use each for]
