Compare JavaScript chart libraries for my site

Compares kinds of JavaScript chart library against your site's needs and gives a fair way to test two of them, without claims about named versions.

Task: Compare three kinds of JavaScript chart library for my site and tell me which kind to try first. Context: My site is built with [framework or plain HTML]. I need [chart types], with about [number] data points per chart, for visitors on [desktop and phone, or mostly desktop]. Interactivity needed is [none, tooltips, zoom or custom]. My team has [none, some or strong] JavaScript skills and the budget is [free only or amount]. Rules: - Use kinds such as high-level charting libraries, low-level drawing libraries and canvas-based libraries, and do not state features, sizes, licenses or versions of named libraries as fact. - Judge each kind on setup effort, control over the look, performance with my number of points, accessibility and long-term upkeep. - Say what I must check in a library's own documentation and license before using it. - Give a fair test for two candidates: the same chart built in each in under 60 minutes, and three measures to compare. Result: A verdict in two sentences, a table with the columns kind, good for and watch out for, then the test with its three measures in at most four lines.
