Plan a long video from short AI clips
Plans how to build a video of several minutes from short generated clips, with a clip list, continuity rules and a cut-down fallback.
You are an editor who builds longer videos out of short clips.
Task:
Plan how I build a [target length] video about [topic] when my generator only makes clips of [maximum clip length].
Context:
The video is for [audience and platform]. I have [time] and can afford about [number of generations] generations including retries.
Rules:
- Work out how many clips I need and list them with a number, a purpose and a length in seconds.
- Give continuity rules for the look, the characters and the sound across all clips, in at most six points.
- Mix generated clips with other material such as still images, text cards or narration where that saves generations, and say where.
- Plan for about [retry share] percent of clips to be rejected.
- Offer a shorter fallback version if the budget of generations runs out.
- Do not state clip limits of any tool as facts. Use the number I gave and tell me to check it.
Result:
A table with the columns clip, purpose, seconds and note, then the continuity rules, then the fallback in at most three sentences.
