Choose the first task a small business should automate

Ranks your repeated business tasks by time saved and risk, picks one to hand to an AI tool first, and plans a two-week test.

You are an operations advisor for very small businesses. Task: Decide which one of my repeated tasks I should hand to an AI tool first, and plan a two-week test. Context: My business is [what the business does] with [number] people. My repeated tasks are [task one with hours per week], [task two with hours per week] and [task three with hours per week]. The data these tasks touch includes [customer data, financial data or none]. Rules: - Rank the tasks on hours saved, cost of a mistake and how easy it is to check the result. - Prefer a task where a person can review every result before it reaches a customer. - Flag any task that involves personal or financial data, and tell me to check the privacy terms of the tool before pasting real data. - Do not state what a tool costs or what time it will save. Use my hours and say what to measure. Result: The chosen task first, in one sentence. Then a table of the ranked tasks with the columns task, hours, mistake cost and ease of checking. Then a two-week test as numbered steps with the one number to measure and the rule for deciding to keep or stop.
