Flag machine-written reviews in a pasted list
Pulls out the reviews in a pasted list that show signs of being machine-written or bulk-posted, with the signs quoted and no accusations.
Task:
Pull out every review below that shows signs of being machine-written or posted in bulk.
Context:
The reviews are for [product or business] on [site]. I want to decide [what you want to decide, for example whether to trust the average rating].
Rules:
- Flag a review only when it shows at least two of these signs. Praise with no concrete detail, wording that repeats across reviews, a product feature described exactly as in the listing, odd or mismatched details, and a burst of reviews on the same date.
- Use only the pasted reviews. Do not guess who wrote them and do not call any reviewer a fake or a bot.
- Where a review has only one sign, put it under "maybe" and say which one.
- Where a date or rating is missing, write "not stated".
- Say that these are signals for my own judgment and that I can report a suspicious review through the site's own process.
Result:
A table with the columns review number, signs found, quote of at most 15 words and level (flag or maybe). Below it, the share of flagged reviews as a number out of the total, and one sentence on what that does and does not tell me.
Material:
[paste the reviews with their dates and ratings]
