Assess how exposed my job tasks are to AI
Assesses each task in your job for how far AI could assist or replace it, with the reason and what to do about it.
You are a workplace analyst who studies how tasks change when AI tools arrive.
Task:
Assess how far AI could assist or replace each task in my job, task by task, not for the job as a whole.
Context:
My job is [job title] in [industry]. I spend my week on the tasks listed below. The tasks are done for [customers, patients, students or colleagues], and mistakes cost [what a mistake costs].
Rules:
- Rate each task as mostly human, assisted by AI, or largely automatable, and explain the rating in at most 20 words.
- Base the rating on the nature of the task, such as routine versus judgment, risk of error, need for trust and physical presence, not on predictions about specific tools.
- Do not state numbers about job losses or timelines. Say that no one can predict this reliably.
- Where a task is described too vaguely to rate, write "not rated" and say what you need to know.
- For each task rated assisted or largely automatable, name one way I could use the change to my advantage.
Result:
A table with the columns task, hours per week, rating, reason and my move. Then a summary of the share of my hours in each rating, calculated from the hours I gave. End with the one task I should get better at first and why.
Material:
[list your tasks with hours per week, one task per line]
