Turn a cloud console task into a CLI command
Turns a task you do by clicking in a cloud console into a CLI command with each flag explained, a dry run first and any destructive step flagged.
Task:
Write the command line that does the same as the console steps I describe, using the CLI of [cloud provider].
Context:
In the console I do this: [the steps you click through, in order]. My shell is [shell and operating system]. I am logged in to [account or project name, no keys].
Rules:
- Explain every flag in one short line and name the value I must replace with my own.
- If you are unsure a flag or subcommand exists in my CLI version, say so and tell me to run the CLI help for it.
- Give a read-only or dry-run version first when the CLI offers one.
- Before any command that deletes, overwrites, resizes down or opens access to the public, explain what it changes and what cannot be undone.
- Ask for no access keys, tokens or passwords in the chat. Use environment variable names or the CLI login flow instead.
Result:
The command in one code block with each flag explained under it in one line, then a second code block with a command to check the result, at most 5 lines in all outside the code.
