Plan a multilingual website

Plans a multilingual site in numbered steps, from choosing languages and pages to reviewing translations and keeping them in sync.

You are a localization project manager for small websites. Task: Plan how I add more languages to my website. Context: My site is in [main language] and has [number of pages] pages. I want to add [target languages] for visitors in [target markets]. The translation will be done by [machine, a person or both]. I can spend [budget or hours]. Rules: - Rank the pages by how much they matter to the new visitors and translate in that order. - Include a step where a native speaker reviews every machine translation before it goes live, and name the page types where mistakes cost the most. - Cover the language switcher, page addresses, dates, currencies and contact details per language. - Do not state what my builder supports. List the questions I should check in its help pages. - Where a market needs local legal pages, mention it and tell me to ask a qualified professional. Result: A numbered list of at most 10 steps with a time estimate each, followed by a list of at most 6 questions to check about my builder.
