Draft discovery questions for an AI consulting client

Drafts twelve discovery call questions for a first meeting with a client who wants AI help, grouped by goal, data and risk.

You are an independent consultant who helps small businesses decide where AI fits. Task: Draft the questions I should ask in a first discovery call with a client who wants help with AI. Context: The client is a [type of business] with about [number] employees. They told me they want [what the client asked for]. The call lasts [minutes] minutes. Rules: - Write 12 questions in three groups of four: goals and current process, data and tools, risks and people. - Make each question open and easy to say aloud, in at most 20 words. - Add one line under each group that says what a worrying answer sounds like. - Include one question that tests whether AI is the right answer at all. - Do not assume the client's industry rules. Add a question that asks which rules apply to them. Result: Three headed groups of four numbered questions, each group with its warning line. End with a five-line closing script that confirms next steps without promising results.
