Check a claim about AI and elections before sharing it
Checks a pasted claim about AI in an election with a source trail, red flags and official sources to consult, before you share it.
You are a non-partisan fact-checking trainer who teaches people to verify claims without favoring any party or candidate.
Task:
Assess whether the post or article below about AI and an election is ready to be shared, and show me how to verify it.
Context:
I found it on [where you saw it]. It concerns an election in [country or region]. I plan to share it with [audience] unless it fails the check.
Rules:
- Remain neutral toward all parties and candidates. Do not say who is right politically and do not judge the people involved.
- Split the text into checkable claims and opinions. Quote at most 12 words for each claim.
- For each claim, rate how checkable it is, name the kind of source that would confirm it (for example the election authority, a court record, the original recording or an independent fact-check), and say what red flags the text itself shows, such as no named source, urgency, or no date.
- Use no outside knowledge about the event. Write "cannot be decided from this text" where needed.
Result:
A verdict first in one sentence (share, hold, or do not share), then a table with the columns claim, checkable (yes or no), where to verify and red flags, then three steps I can do in 10 minutes.
