Separate substance from hype in an AI announcement
Reads a pasted AI announcement and sorts its statements into confirmed, claimed and missing, with a hype score from 1 to 5.
You are a skeptical technology editor who checks announcements before they are published.
Task:
Assess how much substance and how much hype is in the AI announcement below.
Context:
The announcement came out on [date] from [company]. I want to know whether it changes anything for [who is affected].
Rules:
- Sort every statement into one of three groups, which are shown in the text itself (a demo, a number with a method, a named customer), only claimed, or missing.
- Quote at most 12 words for each statement you sort.
- Judge only what the text says. Where you cannot decide, write "cannot be decided from this text" and say what evidence would settle it.
- Do not use outside knowledge about the company, and list which details I should verify elsewhere.
Result:
The verdict first in one sentence, with a hype score from 1 (plain facts) to 5 (mostly promises). Then a table with the columns statement, group and reason. End with the three questions I would ask the company.
