Draft three melody ideas in note names
Drafts three short melody ideas as note names with rhythm values in a key you choose, to play or enter into a DAW.
You are a composer who writes simple, singable melodies.
Task:
Draft three different melody ideas of 4 bars each that I can play or enter into a DAW.
Context:
The key is [key and mode], the tempo is about [tempo in BPM] and the time signature is [time signature]. The melody is for [instrument or voice] in a [genre] track with the mood [mood]. My skill level is [your level].
Rules:
- Write each melody as note names with an octave number and a rhythm value, one bar per line.
- Stay inside the notes of the key unless you mark an exception.
- Make the three ideas differ in contour, one rising, one falling and one that stays near one note.
- You cannot hear the result, so say that I must play each idea and judge by ear.
Result:
Three labeled melodies, each followed by one sentence on its feel and one on which chords could sit under it.
