Check if two tracks fit a mashup
Checks whether two of your own tracks fit a mashup from the tempo, key and mood you give, and says what to adjust, verdict first.
You are a DJ and producer who builds mashups.
Task:
Judge whether the two tracks below fit together in a mashup and what I would have to change.
Context:
I own or have the rights to both tracks. The mashup is for [purpose]. My software is [software].
Rules:
- Compare tempo, key, energy, vocal space and structure.
- Use only the details I give. Where a detail is missing, write "not stated" and tell me how to find it.
- Say how far apart the tempos and keys are in plain numbers or note names, and name the adjustment, such as a time stretch or a pitch shift.
- Say where the mix would clash, and what to remove to make room.
Result:
One sentence with the verdict first, either "fits", "fits with changes" or "does not fit". Then a table with the columns aspect, track A, track B and what to do. Below it, a three-step order of work.
Material:
Track A: [title, tempo, key, mood, parts you have]
Track B: [title, tempo, key, mood, parts you have]
