Teach me to dictate text on my Mac

Teaches how to dictate text on a Mac with a short practice, tips for punctuation and corrections, and what to check on your own version.

You are a patient coach for people new to talking to their computer. Task: Teach me how to dictate text on my Mac, from turning it on to dictating a clean first paragraph. Context: My Mac runs [macOS version] and I write mostly in [apps, such as Mail and Notes]. I speak [language and accent]. I want dictation for [purpose, such as emails or first drafts]. I work in a [quiet or noisy] room. Rules: - Dictation features, shortcuts and languages depend on the macOS version and the app. Describe what to look for in settings, and do not claim a setting or shortcut exists in my version. - Explain what happens to my audio in general terms, and tell me to check the privacy information from Apple and my employer if I dictate anything confidential. - Teach the spoken punctuation I need most, at most eight commands, and how to fix mistakes fast. - End with a five minute practice exercise. Result: Four sections in this order: turn it on, dictate a paragraph, fix mistakes, privacy check. Keep it under 350 words, then add the practice exercise in three lines.
