Find where my draft needs a source
Reviews your own draft and marks where an idea, fact or quote needs a source or a citation, so you credit others properly.
Task:
Review my own draft below and mark every place where an idea, fact, number or quote probably needs a source or a citation.
Context:
I wrote this draft myself for [course name]. My sources so far are [list of sources]. My school's rules on citing and on AI help are [your school's rules, or "not sure"].
Rules:
- For each place, quote at most 12 words, say why it needs credit, and say whether it looks like a quote, a paraphrase, a fact or a number.
- Say which of my listed sources might fit, but do not invent a source or a reference.
- Do not rewrite my text. Tell me to follow my school's rules on citing and on AI use, and to ask my teacher if I am unsure what is allowed.
Result:
A numbered list sorted by position in the draft, with the quote, the reason and the possible source from my list. End with the count of places found.
