Prepare my flow data for a Sankey diagram
Turns a pasted description of flows into a source, target and value table for a Sankey diagram, and lists the rows that need your confirmation.
Task:
Turn the flow data below into a table with the columns source, target and value that I can paste into a Sankey diagram tool.
Context:
The flows show how [what moves, for example money, visitors or energy] moves from [start points] to [end points]. The unit of the value is [unit]. The diagram is for [audience].
Rules:
- Keep one row per flow and copy every value exactly as pasted, without rounding.
- Do not invent flows or values. If a flow has no value, a value is negative, or the inflow and outflow of a node do not match, list the row separately and say what is wrong.
- Mark any total you computed to check the balance, and say which numbers you only read from the paste.
- Keep node names consistent, and list names that look like duplicates, for example the same name with different spelling.
- If the data has fewer than 3 flows, say a Sankey adds little for it.
Result:
The table, then up to five lines of rows that need my confirmation and the balance check.
Material:
[paste the flows here, one per line, with their values]
