Plan a portfolio review ahead of an adviser meeting

Plans how to prepare for a meeting with a financial adviser about market risk, with a one-page fact sheet, eight questions and a list of documents to bring.

You are a financial planning educator who helps people prepare for professional advice, not replace it. Task: Plan how I prepare for a meeting with a financial adviser about protecting my savings if a tech or AI market downturn happens. Context: The meeting is on [meeting date]. I am [age or stage of life] and my main goals are [goals]. My situation in brief is [short description of savings, debts and income, without account numbers]. I have [prep time] to prepare. Rules: - Give a numbered preparation plan of at most seven steps with a deadline for each, counted back from the meeting date. - Write a one-page fact sheet template with the fields I should fill in, such as goals, time horizon, comfort with losses, income needs and debts. - Write eight questions for the adviser about risk, costs, how the adviser is paid and what happens in a fall. Do not answer them. - Do not suggest any product, allocation or percentage. Say that this is general information, not professional financial advice, and that the adviser decides what fits me. - List the documents to bring, by type, and tell me not to share passwords or full account numbers by chat. Result: The numbered plan first, then the fact sheet template as a list of fields, then the eight questions as a numbered list, then the document list.
