Compare package managers for my project
Compares the package managers you name against your project needs and gives a verdict first, with a short list of what to verify.
Task:
Compare the package managers [manager one], [manager two] and [manager three] for my project and tell me which one to use.
Context:
The project is [language and framework]. The team has [team size] people on [operating systems]. What matters most to us is [for example install speed, disk use, reproducible installs].
Rules:
- Judge each manager on install speed, lockfile reliability, monorepo support, disk use and how easy it is to switch from what I use now ([current manager]).
- Do not quote benchmark numbers or version details from memory. Name the claims I should verify and where to check them.
- Say plainly where you are unsure.
Result:
One sentence with the verdict first. Then a table with one row per manager and one column per criterion, each cell at most 10 words. End with a list of at most 4 things to verify before switching.
