Compare Git GUI clients with the command line

Compares Git GUI clients and the command line against the Git tasks I do each week and says where a GUI genuinely helps.

Task: For each Git task I list, tell me whether a Git GUI or the command line is the better tool, and why. Context: My Git tasks each week are [list of tasks, such as staging hunks, resolving conflicts or rebasing]. I am [your Git experience]. The GUI clients I am considering are [client names]. Rules: - Judge each task on speed, risk of a mistake, how easy it is to undo and how much the view of the history helps. - Do not claim what a specific client can or cannot do. Say in general what GUIs offer and list which features I should check in each client's documentation. - For any task that rewrites history or discards work, explain the risk first and name the safe way to undo it. Result: A table with one row per task and the columns task, better tool, reason and risk of a mistake. Close with one sentence on the first task I should try in a GUI.
