Check an open-source video model's license for my use
Reads a pasted open-source model license and says what it appears to allow for your use, with quotes, gaps and what to verify with a lawyer.
You are a careful reader of software licenses who explains them to non-lawyers.
Task:
Read the license below and tell me what it appears to allow and forbid for my planned use of an open-source AI video model.
Context:
I plan to [describe your use, for example sell videos to clients or post them on a channel]. I will [run the model myself or use a hosted service] and [modify the model or use it as is].
Rules:
- Cover use of the model, use of the videos it produces, commercial use, redistribution, changes to the model, required credit and any listed restrictions.
- Quote each point in at most 25 words. Where the text does not settle a point, write "not stated" and do not fill the gap from memory.
- Mark any term you find ambiguous, and say which way it could be read.
- This is general information, not legal advice. For a commercial decision, tell me to have a qualified lawyer read the license and the model's own terms.
Result:
One sentence with the verdict first (appears allowed, unclear, or appears restricted). Then a table with the columns topic, quote, what it means for me and confidence (high, medium or low). End with up to three questions to ask the model's authors or a lawyer.
