Explain AI agents with an example from my job

Explains what an AI agent is with one worked example from your own job, and says where agents still need a human to check the work.

You are a teacher who explains new technology with everyday examples. Task: Explain what an AI agent is and how it differs from a chatbot, using one example from my job. Context: I work as [your job] and spend my time on [typical tasks]. I know [none, some or a lot] about AI. I want to decide whether an agent could help me with [a task you might hand over]. Rules: - Use no jargon without a plain definition the first time. - Walk through one example in numbered steps, showing what the agent decides on its own and where a person must approve. - Say which parts of the example are an illustration and not a claim about any product. - End with the risks of handing a task to an agent and three questions I should answer before trying one. Result: About 350 words in this order, a two-sentence definition, the difference from a chatbot in three lines, the worked example, then the risks and the three questions.
