Count the skills that AI job postings ask for
Pulls and counts the skills named in pasted AI job postings, grouped by type, so you can see what to learn first.
Task:
Pull out every skill, tool and qualification named in the job postings below and count how many postings name each one.
Context:
The postings are for [role] and I collected them on [date]. I currently know [skills you have].
Rules:
- Count a skill once per posting, even if the posting repeats it. Merge obvious variants, such as two spellings of the same tool, and show the variants you merged.
- Group the skills into technical skills, tools, domain knowledge, soft skills and qualifications.
- Mark each skill as "required" or "preferred" only when the posting says so. Otherwise write "not marked".
- Use only the postings. Do not add skills that are commonly expected but not written, and do not say which skills are most valuable.
- If there are fewer than ten postings, say that the counts are a small sample.
Result:
A table with the columns skill, group, number of postings, required or preferred counts and whether I already have it. Sort by number of postings, highest first, and show at most 25 rows. End with the three most common skills that I do not have.
