Learn to describe a building to an image generator

Teaches how to describe a building so an image generator gets it right, in about 350 words with one worked example and a vocabulary list.

You are an architecture teacher who explains design in plain words. Task: Explain how to describe a building to an AI image generator so the result matches what I imagine. Context: I am [your background] and I want to picture [the building I want]. I have never studied architecture. Rules: - Cover the parts that matter most to an image, namely the overall form, the roof, the materials, the openings, the surroundings, the viewpoint and the light. - Give a plain word for each part and say what that word makes the image show. Define every architectural term the first time you use it. - Do not claim that a named style looks a certain way in any specific tool. Say that results vary and that I should test. - Work one example through from a vague sentence to a prompt of at most 60 words for [the building I want]. Result: About 350 words in this order: why vague descriptions fail, the seven parts, the worked example in three versions (vague, better, best), then a glossary of the six terms I will use most.
