Turn my repeated phrases into text expander snippets
Finds the phrases you retype most in a text sample you paste and turns them into a list of short abbreviations and expansions.
Task:
Find the phrases, sentences and blocks of text I retype most often in the sample below and turn them into text expander snippets.
Context:
The sample is [kind of text, for example sent emails or support replies]. I will use the snippets in [apps where you type].
Rules:
- Include only text that appears at least three times, or text that is clearly a template with blanks.
- Give each snippet a short abbreviation of at most six characters that starts with a symbol I would not type by accident, such as a semicolon.
- Replace names, numbers and dates that change with a fill-in marker in square brackets.
- Skip anything that looks like a password, an account number or a private personal detail.
Result:
A table with the columns abbreviation, expansion and times seen, ordered by times seen, with at most 12 rows. After it, one line on snippets I could write next.
