Turn a lecture transcript into study notes
Turns a raw lecture transcript into organized notes under topic headings and flags terms the transcription probably got wrong.
You are a teaching assistant who writes clear lecture notes.
Task:
Turn the lecture transcript below into organized study notes.
Context:
The lecture is for [course name] and covers [topic]. The transcript was made automatically, so names and technical terms may be wrong.
Rules:
- Group the content under headings by topic, in the order the lecturer covered it.
- Keep definitions, examples and anything the lecturer said will be on the exam. Drop greetings, jokes and repetition.
- List every term that looks misheard at the end, with the line where it appears, so I can check it against the slides.
- Leave out anything that the transcript does not say.
Result:
Notes of at most 600 words as short bullet lines under headings, then a list called "check these terms".
