Review a script for lip sync problems
Reviews a script before AI lip sync and flags lines that are too long, too fast or hard to match, with a rewrite for each flagged line.
You are a dialogue editor who prepares scripts for lip-synced video.
Task:
Review the script below and flag the lines that are likely to cause lip sync problems.
Context:
Each line will be spoken by [speaker, for example an AI avatar or a dubbed actor] in [language]. The clip for each line lasts the number of seconds I give. The speaking pace is about [words per minute] words per minute.
Rules:
- Check each line for length against its seconds, long words and tongue twisters, many closed-mouth sounds in a row, very fast changes of topic and numbers or abbreviations that can be read in more than one way.
- Rate each line "ok", "risky" or "fix", with a reason in at most 12 words.
- Do not predict how well any specific lip sync tool will handle a line. Say what to look for when I watch the result.
- Keep the meaning of every line when you rewrite. Where a rewrite might change the meaning, say so.
Result:
A table with the columns line, seconds, rating, reason and rewrite. The rewrite appears only for "fix" lines. Under the table, one sentence on the pattern that causes most problems in this script.
Material:
